The Botetourt Resource Center has created the first non-profit crisis fund in partnership and under the non-profit umbrella of Mill Creek Baptist Church. It is called the BRC Interfaith Crisis Fund and is presently accepting donations before screening recipients for assistance. At this time 15 churches in Botetourt are participating in this partnership. Donations can be written to the BRC Interfaith Crisis Fund and sent to the Botetourt Resource Center at P.O. Box 153, Buchanan, VA 24066
The Lawrence Transportation Systems Company collects food annually for the BRC Food Pantry.
The Botetourt Resource Center was awarded $25,000 by the Foundation for Roanoke Valley in March, 2012 through the “Belonging Initiative” Grant.

As part of the goal of empowering seniors, Mr. Henry Woodward of Legal Aid of Roanoke Valley came to speak to seniors about legal issues affecting them.
Ramp built by Rebuilding Together of the Roanoke Valley in partnership with the Botetourt Resource Center and with funds from the Foundation for Roanoke Valley Senior Belonging Grant.
Monthly parties sponsored by the Foundation for Roanoke Valley Belonging Initiative and regular weekly Bingo at the Botetourt Resource Center help reduce feelings of isolation and lonliness among seniors. Night aerobics for seniors is offered three nights a week for senior exercise.
