Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Do I need to register for all the classes?
A: No. There will be new courses added each term. You should only register for the classes that you think would be beneficial to you or your organization.

Q: How long do I have to complete the requirements for the certificate?
A: There is no set time limit. In planning the program, it was thought that a typical person may take 2 – 3 years to earn enough credits for the certificate. New classes will be added as the program develops.

Q: Do past classes taken under the Radford University’s program count for the certificate?
A: Yes. All previous classes will count under the certificate program.

Q: Where will the classes be held?
A: At the Roanoke Higher Education Center.

Q: What about inclement weather?
A: If Virginia Western Community College is closed or delayed due to inclement weather, classes will not be held on that day. Class participants will receive information about class rescheduling of this occurs. Check with local radio/TV stations or the VWCC website.

 

Fees:

Nonprofit Resouce Center members: $40.00/class
Non-members: $55.00/class

Courses are offered in Roanoke by the Governmental and Nonprofit Assistance Center (GNAC).
