Work Stations

RSVP is a volunteer program that encourages individuals age 55 and better to remain active in the community through service work. As an incentive, RSVP provides participants with volunteer match assistance, supplemental insurance, and limited mileage reimbursement.

Many agencies depend upon the time and skills of volunteers to increase capacity and promote goodwill. The  RSVP staff can assist local agencies by recruiting, enrolling and highlighting volunteer assignments to senior volunteers.  Becoming a RSVP station is a simple and free process that can only benefit your organization.  It as easy as these 3 steps:

  1. Complete a RSVP Station Application and Memorandum of Understanding with the RSVP Office
  2. Submit written descriptions for all volunteer jobs
  3. Meet with RSVP Coordinator to review Volunteer Station Policies.

If you are interested in becoming a RSVP volunteer station please contact the RSVP Project Director at 540-985-0131 x500 or rsvp@councilofcommunityservices.org.
